Our Story

Lina and John both grew up in the area and count it a privilege to have had the opportunity to acquire Jakes Fire Safety Inc. in November of 2017 after spending almost 10 years in northern Alberta. They are very thankful to Jake and Margaret Neufeld for building a loyal customer base.

John has a background in health and safety in the area having provided safety training (forklift safety, overhead crane, WHMIS, etc.) for many commercial and industrial customers prior to the move out west.

There was a pull to come back home to be closer to family and they have appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with many long time friends and acquaintances as they help look after fire safety needs for customers as far away as Blenheim; Typically though, their service area is Tilbury to Windsor with the bulk of the over 500 customers in the Leamington area.

John and Lina have been thoroughly challenged and blessed as they spend time volunteering in their home church and at The Bridge (a local drop in and resource centre for at-risk youth).

John and Lina both share a Mennonite immigrant family background and recognize the value in good work ethic and importance of family and faith values. They feel that they can offer more than just good customer service as they make efforts to be personable and operate with integrity.

As a side: this local business has been in operation for many decades under different names and ownership; currently as Fire Safety By Moose Inc. -previously as Jake’s Fire Safety Inc. (approx. 14yrs) previous to this as Fire Safety On The Move and originally as Mobile Fire Safety. The legacy continues…
